Not a Moment in Time

Anyone else LOVE seeing their feed blow up daily by their LinkedIn friends happily sharing news that they've said "yes" to an exciting new opportunity at a new home?

The Great Resignation isn't a passing phase or the latest buzzword. It's a cataclysmic shift.

It's about individuals...

Refusing to work for toxic, belittling employers

Choosing how and when they want to work; 9-to-5 was dead years ago, but employers largely failed to listen

Knowing, unequivocally, they deserve nothing short of empathy, compassion, kindness and care from their leaders and teammates

Realizing they deserve and demanding for fair pay

Prioritizing mental health, self-care and boundaries by choosing organizations that align with those values

Wanting to bring their full selves to work and not hide the most important parts of themselves

Choosing companies that present new growth and career opportunities, and being able to open doors that have been closed for far too long

Opting out of unhealthy, laggard and broken companies and running towards progressive, futuristic and awe-inspiring companies and leaders

This is NOT a moment in time. This is a business revolution that has been long overdue 🌎

As we head into the final stretch of 2021 — a time characterized by giving thanks, basking in the glow and warmth of friends and family and, yes, delicious food — many of us take pause and slow down. We get acutely aware of what we’re grateful for and, oftentimes, clarity on the things we want to change.

In the pause this week, if any part of your career is not lighting you up — or, worse, severely depleting you — join the Great Resignation, Reshuffle and Re-imagination.

Here’s what we all deserve unequivocally and unapologetically:

⭐️ Leaders who send holiday emails to their teams taking such delicate care to choose the right words to describe why each individual member of their company is a super star

⭐️ Complete values alignment with your employer

⭐️ People around you who create safe space for you to share your most vulnerable thoughts and seek to understand, never judge

⭐️ Teammates (sometimes those you’ve only worked with for weeks!) who activate something inside of you that you didn’t know was there

⭐️ Cheerleaders and dreamers in your corner, reminding you that all you desire is in fact possible

⭐️ Ability to craft your professional identity on your terms

⭐️ Co-workers who become best friends, seeing and elevating every part of your whole self

Let’s stop settling for lackluster workplaces.

Let's decide that waking up with unbridled excitement to start your day and spend time with fantastic humans who fill your cup up should be table stakes.

Let's demand that it becomes the norm.

Just ask your friends living this reality.
